Broken Hallelujah
How’s your Hallelujah?
-
Is it overflowing with love and joy?
-
Is it spilling out on to the world around you?
-
Does your Hallelujah draw people like a magnet to the Lord?
-
Does your Hallelujah reflect the Holy Spirit that lives within you?
-
Does your Inner Man and your Hallelujah wear the same face?
-
Is your Hallelujah Real?
Do you remember how your Hallelujah felt the moment you were saved?
-
This is the when your Hallelujah is at it’s best.
-
This is living in the “Now” that is the Lord.
-
This is when your Hallelujah infects to the world around you.
-
This is when you are in tune with the Lord.
-
This is when your Hallelujah is Magnetized; drawing others to Jesus.
When we first get saved our Hallelujah is supercharged, unstoppable, and full of love. We want the whole world to know Jesus. Our lives take on new meaning with a renewed sense of value. Your Hallelujah has Purpose.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Halleluwho?
Hallelujah means ‘Praise ye Yahweh’, frequently transliterated ‘Praise ye the Lord,’
Hallelujah’ is comprised of two Hebrew words, namely ‘Halal’ and ‘Yahh’. ‘Yahh’ a shortened version of God’s name – Yhwh.
While we do not know with all certainty exactly how Yhwh is properly pronounced; the most popular pronunciation is Yahweh and Jehovah.
Praise (Strong’s H1984הָלַל halal) ye the Lord (Strong’s H3050 יָהּ Yahh) Hallelujah pronounced hallēlouïa is a transliteration of the Hebrew word הַלְּלוּיָהּ
What we know as the ‘Hallelujah Psalms’ comes from the many recurrent uses of the phrase ‘Praise ye the Lord’ in the Book of Psalms (Psalms 106,111,112,113,135,146,147,148,149,150).
While the Greek form of the word Alleluia (Strong’s G239 ἁλληλουϊά pronounced hallēlouïa) is found in (Revelation 19:1,19:3,19:4,19:6).
Hallelujah Meaning
No matter which way you interpret the phrase its meaning is meant to praise God. Yet! Many Christians today use it as a generic term of praise. Often personal, in agreement with others, or as a mere exclamatory expression. This is a vain Broken use of Hallelujah. This is not praise, endearment and entitlement to the Lord.
Hallelujah’s true intended meaning is to give and call others to Praise the one true Yhwh (God).
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.(Exodus 20:7)
Satan’s Perversion
A repetitive loose-lipped use of Hallelujah is indeed a vain use. Just like the same loose-lipped use of Jesus’ name. Saying sweet Jesus in anger or disgust is no different than screaming Hallelujah without directing true praise to Yhwh.
In this instance Satan has successfully perverted the reverence, intended use, and power held within the name of Jesus and Hallelujah Praise.
By undermining the use of Hallelujah and the name of Jesus; Satan is able to strip them both of their intended power. Hiding it from those who are ignorant of the truth.
This also allows Satan to break a persons individual Hallelujah. Killing love, joy and destroying someones spiritual maturity. These Christians are the ones trapped in an endless loop of highs and lows. Hopping from revival to revival, retreat to retreat, and church to church. In a futile attempt to find wholeness that is in the Lord.
And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine. (Leviticus 20:26)
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12)
Enduring Hallelujah
From the praise written in Psalm 106 singing, “Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” To the Revelation Praises voiced by a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” (Psalm 106:1, Revelation 19:6-7)
Somewhere between the Psalms and Revelation Satan has divided the Testament of Jesus as Old and New. In between is the chasm of lies designed to Break God’s Hallelujah Warriors and divide the unity of Scripture to divide the Church.
Lift up your Hallelujah. Give reverence to the Lord. Renounce the accusations of Satan and be made whole within the Lord.
Loose lips sink ships
A slogan coined during WWII was Loose Lips might sink ships. It means unguarded talk gives useful information to the enemy.
It is the same within the Spiritual War. Loose lipped Hallelujah’s and the Flippant use of Jesus’ name; both serve as ammunition for Satan.
Good intentions and bending the gospel message to suit carnal desires is the sinking ship Satan targets for destruction.
There is power in your Hallelujah. If your Hallelujah is broken then seek the Lord all the more. It means your walk is either being Tested or Attacked.
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4)
Do not let your Hallelujah be in Vain. There is power in your words and in the word of the Lord.
But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. (Matthew 12:36)
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
Halleluwhat!
There a many instances where singers and songwriters have composed renditions of the famous song ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen.
WHAT! WHY? And HOW? Is this song so popular? The lyrics of the song are not giving praise to the Lord.
The song starts with a lie about King David writing the song Hallelujah. One verse even says, “Maybe there’s a God above.” The song is crammed full of violence and sexual overtones. There is only one verse that comes close to explaining the misguided and perverse lyrics of this song. This verse says, “It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah.”
This wildly popular and famous song does not give Praise and Edification to the Lord God. It is and evil misguided understanding of what and how Hallelujah is presented to the Lord.
Hallelujah’s true intended meaning is to give and call others to Praise the one true Yhwh (God).
Unbroken Hallelujah
Job is the greatest example of what it means to offer Hallelujah to the Lord. Satan’s unyielding attacks and horrific assaults upon this man were more than enough to break ones Hallelujah.
Job’s Hallelujah only grew stronger. Job was living proof of how to hold your tongue, serve, and love the Lord. This is Hallelujah.
Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. (Job 1:20-22)
Your Hallelujah is an important part of your Christian walk. Your Hallelujah is Holy and Belongs to the Lord.
-
If it is wrong, correct it.
-
If it is empty, fill it.
-
If it is weak, strengthen it.
-
If it is Broken, Fix it.
