It is significant in the scripture and amazing God fellowships with them as He pleases. These men went up into Mount Sinai with Moses, and saw the God of Israel, and ate the consecrated meal of the covenant. About a year later, in Numbers 11:16-23 the seventy were imparted with spirit of God’s office and authority to assist Moses in his work and service. Moses choose wise elders and experienced men God qualified and made fit for God’s business.
