I am a veryavid fisherman to the point that it could almost be a sin for me, “if I were to willing to admit it.” As a fisherman I know that if the waters are clear the fish can easily see my bait.
I also know that the clearer water intimidates some fish because of the exposed visibility. A fishes instinct tells them they are the bait for larger predators hunting the waters.
This is when the wind is my friend because a little chop and disturbance of the water provides essential camouflage between predator and prey. The clear water and wind from the Holy Spirit makes the perfect sport-fishing day!(John 3:8)
When the Israelites came out of bondage in Egypt they plundered Egypt (Exodus 12:36-38) taking all the spoils of the land. The Lord also blessed them and healed every living person that journeyed that day.(Psalm 105:37) Not only did they have health, wealth, and healing, it all lasted for forty years (Deuteronomy 8:4) ( Deuteronomy 29:5 ).
We know they took plenty of livestock for sacrifice and for their future in the promised land. (Exodus 10:26). The bible tells us there were 600,000 men on foot not counting the women and children (Exodus 12:37). This is a mobile city with all its accouterments to take care of and orchestrate. Yet! the Lord does provide for them, every step of the way. From the first step out of Egypt to the first step into the promised land (Deuteronomy 31:7) (Joshua 1:1-9).
Jesus created the Sun and the Moon to rule the Day and Night (Genesis 1:16). He did not say that the Moon was inferior just Lesser (Strong’s #6996). The Hebrew word Qatan translates in this passage as smaller. Same word Qatan is used another time in (Ezekiel 43:14) in the building of the Altar of Sacrifice, hear the word is already translated smaller in its usage.
There is a lot of debate on who or what the bride of Christ is. I am not going to point the finger of theology to say any denomination or belief is wrong. There seems to be two basic theories.
The first belief states that the church as a whole is the bride of Christ, This theology comes about from scriptures like (2nd Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 5:25-27,Isaiah 54:5, and Revelation 19:7-9) to name a few.
The second belief states that the bride of Christ is the New Jerusalem also know as the Tabernacle of God, the Holy City, the City of God, and the Celestial City. A few scriptures that support this belief are (Hebrews 13:14, Revelation 19:7, Revelation 21:1-4, 21:9-10). Continue reading →
I forgive you for blaming me when things don’t go your way.
Think about it….long hair is uncomfortable, especially in climates where it is hot already! Technology for tools and clothing has drastically improved but people are the same. Just because it was two thousand years ago does not mean hair cuts and baths were not invented.
As a matter of fact in ancient times they were fanatical about clean and unclean matters (Leviticus 11-23).
What I mean by an unleavened life is not limited to the obvious. What should be included is the leavening agents at the root of sin. The very essence of what causes your sin. Removing these things that cause the repetitive insanity of your own personal sins.
A little leaven leavens the whole lump (Galatians 5:7-10). The catalyst that rises up within your mind kneading you into sin. For some there is great anguish associated with the process of becoming an unleavened Christian.
If your sin is deeply rooted in your past it can take a lot of work to bring those tiny bubbles to the surface and expose them. There are also surface sins you continue to ignore and procrastinate about. These slowly burn deep into your life impeding your spiritual growth.
